After some Internet research, I found a less expensive option to solid granite slab countertops...granite tiles. You get the same look but for less and hey isn't that what we're all working towards? Take a look at the below picture. You can barely tell its tile. (Look closely to the left side of the picture). Using minimal to no grout lines and a grout that blends with the granite, one can hardly tell the countertops are not solid granite.

Have a great week!! Talk to ya soon!
Thanks for stopping by. I had granite tiles in my old house in GA & they really were pretty. Of course, I like the slab I have better, but it really is a good cost-effective way to get granite.
ReplyDeleteOh, I would love to have granite counters...or something nicer than laminate, anyway. Thanks for sharing the BHG link with the twin to my fruit topiary! How cool is that! And I wasn't even sure about it when I bought it, but I like it even more, now. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI want granite terribly! Just now sort of convincing my husband that the change needs to come...someday. :) I have seen the granite tiles done before. If they are done well you can hardly tell that it's not a solid piece. Seems like you would have to choose the right color and pattern.
